Who is Your Intellectual Soulmate?

Paul Klee, who is a painter, and he paints what I feel. And I feel what he paints.
Someone who just continues to inspire me in all sorts of ways is the philosopher Gilles Deleuze whose work ranges over a whole bunch of things.
I'm going numb on that one.
There are professors here with whom I really need to discuss things, whose opinion-- not on the methods-- shapes me.

Alan Turing, he's someone that for the sake of computer science, linguistics, and cognitive science, did so much.
Julia Kristeva--- I'm quite obsessed now with thinking about the way that she writes about this 16th century painting by Hans Holbein, which is the body of dead Christ in the tomb.
Walker Evans because Walker looked at the most ordinary junk in the world and thought it was extraordinary.
A cognitive psychologist called Saul Stenberg. And he basically revolutionized the study of mental chronometry, imagery, which is the study of figuring out what is going on in the mind by studying how long it takes people to make judgments about stuff.
A scholar in Canada named David Greenwood. And his work is about this notion of critical pedagogy of place, but the ways in which we bring critical theory into the notion of environmental education drawing from Paulo Freire and Bell Hooks.
We are each other's intellectual soulmate, I think. We are complete opposites in how we work.
So we found a really amazing collaboration that has enabled us to start new programs, create new projects, work with students in a completely different way, as well as model how those things get done when you get to work with colleagues that you're really excited about working with and that work really well.
